Our Speakers:

Ruth Avelino, B. Sc., D.Ch

Ruth completed her undergraduate training at Guelph University and went on to do her postgraduate training in chiropody at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences, in Toronto. After graduation she completed several advanced training courses, including injection techniques for botox, the use of sclerosing agents for neuroma, lower extremity compression therapy for venous insufficiency, as well as several advanced surgical courses including HyproCure and the Koby guard system. In 2010 Ruth received certification from GraMedica to perform the HyProcure procedure. In 2017 Medical Foot Solutions received Atlas certification as a recognized HyProCure Center for Excellence. In 2019, Ruth received a Master Certification for performing the HyProCure procedure. Today, and into the future, Ruth hopes to continue to develop her skills in soft tissue procedures with the aim of focusing her practice exclusively on soft tissue surgeries.

Jonathan Haslehurst, B.A., D.Ch

Jonathan completed his undergraduate training at McMaster University and went on to do his postgraduate training in chiropody at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences, in Toronto. After graduation he completed several advanced training courses in diabetic wound care, diabetic assessment techniques, lower extremity compression therapy for venous insufficiency, and several  advanced surgical courses including HyproCure and neuroma decompression. In 2010 Jonathan received certification from GraMedica to perform the HyProcure procedure. In 2017 Medical Foot Solutions received Atlas certification as a recognised HyProCure Center for Excellence. In 2019, Jonathan received a Master Certification for performing the HyProCure procedure.
